My mother in law has been staying at Castleman and I have nothing but praise for the staff. They are friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble for them; and according to my mother in law, the food is good too!
OMG. What a fabulous place this is. The most kindest, caring people giving the best of times to our friends and families. To put in context, my sister who has learning difficulties, but does not live with us, spent a wonderful four days here… playing games, doing many different activities, eating the tastiest meals, teas, snacks etc. She can’t wait to come back here when she next stays with us. What a wonderful safe environment with staff who love what they do.

Live-in care at a purpose-built service. Daily cooked meals and activities. Your own room, with shared social and garden space for socialising. Our teams of dedicated, qualified carers provide your 24/7 care.
Sometimes, people need temporary support to regain strength and confidence – typically after a spell in hospital or illness. This is called ‘Reablement.’ It can happen at home, or at a live-in service.
A safe home for people with learning disabilities to live a happy life with maximum independence. Support available for practical tasks. Transition Services for younger people to develop skills for independence.
Somewhere people with an identified need can spend the day, typically 9am-4pm, while supported to develop skills and enjoy fun and interesting activities both in and out of our buildings. This time is also respite for the usual carer.
Extra Care is a kind of apartment-based residential care open to those who might otherwise enter a care home, or are already in one but capable of living a more independent life. Giving you your own front door but with the reassurance of 24/7 support.
If you’re someone’s carer, there will be times you need to take a break. ‘Respite’ is the service which offers that. It means a safe, welcoming and well-run home where your loved-one will thrive – while you recharge.
